Seattle Real Estate Mortgage Rates Today 6/27/11

Seattle Real Estate Mortgage Rates Today 6/27/11 have opened flat.  The Federal Reserve’s QE2 is expiring this week.  With the $600B injection ending, this might present a similar situation when the first Quantitative Easing expired.  Stocks weakened after the first QE ended that lead to a boost in bond prices.  Not 100% confident if we will see the same pattern.

Today $35B in 2 year notes was auctioned with a “C” grading.  Currently the bond market is still flat for the day; if anything changes we will post an immediate update.

Oil has dropped to roughly $90 per barrel.  At the start of May, the cost was touching $115.  You can clearly see the increase in gas prices has reduced consumer spending for May.  The savings at the pump should hopefully spark and increase spending during the summer months.
