BUYERS – I really enjoy guiding new and experienced buyers through the process of purchasing a new home. Most of my buyers and sellers are friends, co-workers or family members of my past clients who have referred me. I make sure that the experience is enjoyable and stress-free and that you find yourself in a better home than you imagined. This is an exciting and somewhat nerve-wracking experience for most. I will find you a wonderful place and negotiate a great deal on your behalf. There is nothing more fun than shopping for a new home. If it isn’t, then maybe you are working with the wrong agent!

SELLERS – I love working with sellers to price, prep and market their home for the quickest sale possible. I have a tried and true marketing plan and a proven track record for selling homes under the average market time and for 98% of asking price. This is no accident – it’s based on accurate pricing and prepping of your home. Because I work with buyers also I have a great feel for what is important to them when looking for a home.

SELLING & BUYING – Many of my clients who want to sell their current home are ready to buy a new one. This can sometimes be a tricky balancing act but one that I have done many times. Good coordination is key in these types of deals and an ability to keep all parties on task and calm. There won’t be any undue stress if you know what needs to be done and when it needs to be done. I am good at keeping everyone humming along. I have a good eye for staging and getting homes market-ready but also bring in a great stager when needed. I have a team that can help you prep your home – painting, handyman fixes, staging, landscaping, hauling junk etc. Anything that might need fixing or doing I have someone that can help. You may not want to move after you see how your home can be transformed for very little money and a lot of de-cluttering!

CONDOS and CO-OPS – I have extensive experience helping buyers and sellers in the Capitol Hill, South Lake Union, downtown Seattle and Queen Anne area with purchasing and selling. There are many things to consider when buying a condo or a co-op and I know all the right questions to ask to help you make an informed decision about your next home. I also know these areas very well and can steer you to a delicious cafe for lunch or a great yoga class. Just ask!

FIRST-TIME BUYERS – I find it especially gratifying to work with first-time home buyers as the excitement of getting your first home is hard to beat. I take extra care to make sure you understand the home buying process from start to finish. I am always there to answer your questions no matter how trivial they may seem to you. Knowledge is power and I want my clients to feel confident that they have all the information and understand the process. I have a team of professionals that I work with that can do everything from getting bank approval for your loan to moving you into your new home.

DOCTORS/ GRADUATING MEDICAL STUDENTS/RESIDENTS/ATTENDING PHYSICIANS/DENTISTS/ATTORNEYS – I have been working with professionals in these areas for the past few years and understand the needs and time constraints of finding you a home and getting you moved upon graduation before you start your Residency. Matt graduated from Seattle University School of Law and received a B.A. from the University of Washington. While at Seattle University, was a member of the Moot Court Board and received a Presidential Law Scholarship. While in Law School, he studied real estate, landlord tenant, contracts, and individual income tax. As a real estate agent, he is currently #1 in Washington on Re/Max’s roster of highest-grossing agents.

Matt became interested in real estate as an undergraduate, became a homeowner after graduation, and then a landlord about a year later. After going through several transactions himself and working with a variety of real estate agents from the major brands, Matt knew there must be a better way to operate a brokerage. Most brokerages put an emphasis on competition between agents, with little or no support for agents regarding the complicated legal issues that are part of most transactions in this market.

Matt founded Re/Max On the Lake to address the short-comings of the current real estate brokerage model. The office is a high-energy, collaborative place for agents to work together for their clients, rather than a place where agents must fend for themselves and only come in to pay their broker fees. Lisa’s entrepreneurial spirit was evident even as early as her high school days at Lindbergh in Renton, when she started her first business at 15 yrs old. After graduation, Lisa moved to Hong Kong, China for a few years to explore other parts of the world while working in the marketing field. When she returned to the States, Lisa continued to work and put herself through the University of Washington earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She even managed to save enough money to buy her first house at 23 years old and then her first investment property at 24!

Lisa has grown up in the Pacific Northwest and has been a Renton resident since 1989. She and her husband married in 2005 and have since settled here to raise their family, welcoming daughter, Lulah, in 2011, and son, Landon, in 2012. During their spare time, the Lams love to spend quality time with their extended families that also live in the area. They enjoy traveling, cooking, and hosting small gatherings at their Renton Hill home.
