Seattle Mortgage Rates Today 3/12/12: What say the Fed tomorrow?  The Fed discuss two items tomorrow—Monetary Policy Statement and Interest Rate Decision.  Obviously, there will be no change in the Fed Funds Rate given the economic climate.  However, we need to pay attention to any indication that quantitative easing may take place (QE3).  A few weeks ago when the Fed was on Capitol Hill, there was no suggestion of QE3 which negatively affected bonds.  Although many say that the Fed will not induce quantitative easing, we can’t say for sure.  Again, given the state of the housing market, the chance for QE3 is still on the horizon.
