What’s Happening in Financial Markets?

Feds meeting took place today sending Seattle mortgage rates up!  I believe it was an over reaction and hopefully the market will receive a correction in the near future.

How Does This Affect My Mortgage Rate?

Ben Bernanke was unclear if the bond purchase program was going to continue or taper off.  Others expressed the program needs to reduce the purchase of bonds sooner than later.  The uncertainty among Fed officials caused both stocks and bonds to lose today.  We had one of the worse days in the bond world today so hopefully we will receive a correction soon to help mortgage rates improve.
