Seattle Mortgage Rates Today 11/29/12: Yesterday, stock market closed higher in response to the positive rhetoric regarding the fiscal cliff debate.  Mortgage bonds opened unchanged this morning; interestingly, mortgage bonds continued on that road even though stocks moved higher and positive economic data was reported.  Although trading was sporadic due to the uncertainty regarding economic budget talks, investors’ hopes were lost as House Speaker John Boehner admitted that no progress has been made in the fiscal cliff deal.  However, by the end of the trading day, the stock market closed higher as investors believed that a solution is imminent.
