How Does This Affect My Mortgage Rate?

The number of US workers seeking unemployment benefits is up above expectations today.  This is a trend to see the number spike after the 4^th of July holiday.  With poor economic news, we should see an improvement in mortgage rates.  The market did open in positive direction (improved rates) but has since reversed (worsened).
