Seattle / Bellevue Real Estate Mortgage Rate Watch:  2009 Greece has financial uncertainty, the U.S. bond market  and mortgage backed securities benefited.  Once again with Ireland coming out with their financial woes is raising speculation on Spain and Portugal having the same problems.  The U.S. bond market is once again the “Safe Haven” for investors.  For home owners the mortgage backed securities are also benefiting from these actions.  The rates are being pressured lower today.  This week the employment reports due on Friday will cause more volitility.  Good news will be bad for rates.  So far the economy is still showing signs of life in retail sales coming out 6.4% higher than last years Black Friday consumer spending.
